The 3 Day Diet is a rapid weight loss diet, intended specifically for those who want to lose great amounts of weight very rapidly . T he 3 Day Diet is chemically and enzyme balanced, and if followed exactly, the creators claim that you can lose 10 pounds in 3 days.
Please note that we do not encourage any of our readers to undertake diets such as the 3 Day Diet. Whilst you may experience temporary rapid weight loss, this type of diet is certainly not a long term solution for those with many pounds to lose. Like many of these type of extreme diets, you may find yourself having regained all the pounds lost and then some in a relatively short period of time. This is due mostly to the loss of muscle during the diet. As a rule of thumb, a diet that suggests a weight loss of between 1 and 2 pounds per week will be more sustainable in the long term. Don’t forget, it took many years or decades to gain the weight. Surely, it makes sense that it takes a while to rid yourself of those excess pounds.
However, some people do get a sense of achievement by losing a few quick pounds. If this helps you to get motivated it may be worth a try.
The diet itself is very simple and easy to follow. All of the food required can already be found in most kitchen cupboards. There are no special shakes to buy or classes to attend. The idea of the diet is to boost your metabolism an burn fat by combining certain foods together. There is much debate as to whether this type of diet has merit, however many swear by food combining type diets.
To give you an idea as to what you can eat on the diet, I will give you 3 sample breakfasts, lunches and dinners.
Here are 3 sample breakfasts.
1. coffee (without sugar), 1 egg, half a grapefruit, and one piece of toast.
2. 1 Egg (boiled, scrambled, omlette), half a banana, and a piece of toast.
3. 5 regular crackers with 1 oz of cheese and an apple.
Here are 3 sample lunches.
1. cup of tuna, a slice of toast.
2. 1 cup of cottage cheese, 8 regular crackers or 1 slice toast for something different.
3. 1 boiled egg with a slice of toast and tea or coffee (no sugar).
Here are 3 sample dinners.
1. 3 ounces of chicken, a cup of green beans or broccoli, half a cup of carrots and half a banana.
2. 3 oz lean red meat, 1 cup of cabbage, half a cup of carrots, half a banana, and half a cup of plain ice cream as a treat.
3. cottage cheese, half a cup of carrots, half a cup of cauliflower, and half a melon.
If you are like most people and have a sweet tooth, you are allowed to have half a cup of regular vanilla ice cream with your evening meal.
Please be aware that there are many much more sustainable diets available to you.
